Intensive Outpatient Program
The Intensive Outpatient Program is designed for individuals who are seeking a focused approach for working through issues stemming from alcoholism and drug abuse, but who do not require residential treatment. Treatment sessions are held at night to give participants the opportunity to engage in educational lectures and individual, group, and family treatment without interfering with their jobs or other daytime obligations.
Residential Treatment Program
The Residential Treatment Program provides individual and group therapy, extensive classes, lectures, and visual presentations to assist participants in gaining insight about substance abuse, dependency, resource utilization, personal skills for handling stress, and avoiding substance abuse. Attendance of Alcoholics Anonymous and/or Narcotics Anonymous meetings and participation in a supervised program of recreation and exercise help the recovering individuals to strive for a healthier life.
Family Treatment
Substance abuse has a profound impact on all members of a family. As the illness of chemical dependency progresses, the home environment becomes unstable, leading to an overall physical, emotional, and spiritual deterioration of the family system. Family Treatment Services was developed to assist non-abusing family members in coping with the dependency of other family members. By attending group sessions, family members learn to take better care of themselves while learning skills that will assist the substance abusing person to get the help they need.
Substance Abuse Prevention Services
An educational outreach division of Region 8 Alcohol and Drug Services, Substance Abuse Prevention Services distributes substance abuse literature and offers educational information at speaking engagements, classroom discussions, health fairs, and community service events.
Aftercare Services
Alcoholism causes 500 million lost work days annually. Work absenteeism is up to 16 times greater among employees with alcohol and drug-related problems. The Employee Assistance Program offers a spectrum of services developed specifically for the business setting with a primary focus on addressing alcohol and drug abuse on the job.
Employee Assistance Program
Aftercare Services plays a crucial role in assisting individuals to maintain the gains achieved in treatment as well as aiding in the transition to their post-treatment life. Aftercare includes individual and group therapy, family treatment, and involvement with AA and NA as well as thorough aftercare planning.
Other services falling under the auspices of Region 8 Alcohol and Drug Services include the Adolescent Prevention Group, the Adolescent Aftercare Group, the Alcohol and Drug Education Group, the Anger Management Group, Out-of-State DUI Assessment, and Substance Abuse Professional Evaluation.
