The Clubhouse Program of the Region 8 Mental Health - Mental Retardation Commission is an innovative community support service for adults with serious mental health challenges. Rather than being "clients" or "patients," participants in the program are considered members of the Clubhouse-a unique model for individuals to pursue mental health goals.

From learning independent living skills, prevocational skill development, and exploring job placement to building self-esteem through group activities and "work units," the Clubhouse Program assists adults with a history of mental illness in cultivating the skills necessary for independent living and/or for becoming successfully employed.
