Community Living

Region 8’s Community Living services assist adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities in learning skills, helping them develop adequate resources and obtain knowledge necessary to live independently. Participants become more self-determined, gain stability and increase productivity in their daily lives while utilizing learned skills and resources to establish residency to the most independent living situation possible.

Additionally, individuals will learn how to maintain a budget to sufficiently run a household and account for personal expenses. Participants will learn good personal hygiene and health, ways to sufficiently care for personal property, and how to interact socially with others in productive daily activities.

Shared Supported Living -Residences that are either owned or leased by Region 8 or participants with staff members providing supervision less than 24 hours per day. The level of supervision is dependent upon the level of needed support.
