Long recognized for its sincere compassion and understanding in every situation, Region 8’s Crisis Services team works diligently to provide individualized assistance to those experiencing behavioral health emergencies.

Through a partnership with the Mississippi Department of Mental Health, Region 8’s Mobile Crisis Response Team provides community-based behavioral health crisis services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to individuals in Copiah, Lincoln, Madison, Rankin and Simpson counties. We have a team of professionals who mobilize 24/7 to the location of the crisis, if needed, and work in partnership with other first responders such as law enforcement

In addition to ensuring patients and their families the utmost privacy and comfort through face-to-face or telephone interactions, our dedicated staff members take pride in offering the very latest in treatments and techniques to help patients effectively cope with, and recover from, crisis situations.

Our services include, but are not limited to:

• Assessing the need for referral to treatment options such as outpatient services, community resources, or inpatient hospitalization

• Educating individuals and families regarding the court commitment process

• Assisting individuals and families throughout the commitment process
