As an integral facet of our Children’s and Youth Services, the day treatment program serves as our most intensive outpatient treatment option for children with serious behavioral problems. Children enrolled in our day treatment programs receive specialized treatment services from a qualified mental health professional with a master’s degree.

Region 8’s day treatment program offers:

• A focused, evidence-based social skills curriculum tailored to each child’s social/emotional needs

• Behavior modification applied in a structured peer group setting

• Skill enhancement targeting anger management, cooperation, effective listening and problem-solving

• Consistent, year-round programming, including summer months and all school holidays

• Master’s degree-level behavioral health professionals providing direct day treatment and family therapy services to each participant/family

• Programming designed for preschool and school age children/youth ages 3-18
