Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program

Distinguishing Region 8’s Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program are its many one-of-a-kind services. Our team of proven professionals is experienced in understanding and treating complex emotional and behavioral problems. Via our extensive network of services, we support and restore community functioning and well-being of adults with serious and persistent mental illnesses that complicate their relationships and jobs, strain their quality of life, and negatively impact their physical health. Program activities improve reality orientation, social skills and adaptation, coping skills, effective management of time and resources, task completion, community and family integration, vocational and academic skills, and activities to incorporate the individual into independent community living. The program also helps alleviate psychiatric decompensation, confusion, anxiety, disorientation, distraction, preoccupation, isolation, withdrawal and feelings of low self-worth. Each county operates its own Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services Program and is open five hours a day, Monday through Friday. Transportation is provided.
